Passo Giau
The Passo Giau climb on Rouvy is an unrelentless climb of the Pass from Pocol, concluding at the Rifugio Passo Giau at the top.
From the outset this route has a feel of big mountains, and even in the early parts of the ride the views of the Dolomites are superb. The first two km are fairly flat, but thereafter the route climbs around 700m at a gradient of around 10% for ther remainder of the ride. At that gradient you gain height rapidly, the views just keep improving, and the amount of snow lying on the ground begins to deepn. As you near the the top the crowds begin to build up giving a race feel to the finish.

The Passo Giau is one of the classic Dolomite climbs, it features annually as the penultimate and steepest climb in the Maratona dles Dolomites, and it has featured in the Giro d'Italia as well.
The video is a beatifully filmed Rouvy Augmented Route - we expect to be back to climb this route over and again.
