The Passo Gavia route in Rouvy climbs South from Bormio up the Passo Gavia, one of the highest passes of the Giro d'Italia. Other than brief rides through Sant' Antonio and Santa Caterina, this ride is largely one of attrition with the mountain.

As a Rouvy Augmented Route the ride is excellently filmed, though like all Rouvy AR routes has been filmed from something a little faster than I'm able to ride this route. Though it is fun to watch runners moonwalking up the pass.

If there is one criticism of this route, it is that it has been filmed on a rather dull day. We like to sit in our pain cave through the winter, and ride in beautiful sunshine.
