Welcome to our guide to the Villes-sur-Auzon - Monieux augmented route on Rouvy. Please read on to see details and photographs on the route, route profiles, and our own ride data on this route.

The Villes-sur-Auzon - Monieux route on Rouvy begins in the village of Villes-sur-Auzon in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region of France. The route climbs steadily from the off, making it difficult to find much pace in the early stages. After around 4km the route eases a little, and climbs more gently through the segment at 12km. From here the route steepens, climbing more sharply to the top of the climb at 19km. The final 3kmn of the route are a downhill descent in to the village of Monieux.

The scenery along the route is especially scenic. The route climbs along a steep wooded gorge, interspersed with white limestone cliffs. The construction of the road itself provides some of the highlights of this route, where the road has been sculpted into the cliffside. Our personal favourites are a number of rock tunnels that the road has been carved through, providing window through the hillside.

It may not outlive the ŠKODA - We Love Cycling Challenge on Rouvy, but an amazing, sparkly, silver Skoda has been parked up along many of the checkpoint barriers on route.

Being a Rouvy Augmented Route the village quality is excellent throughout, and unlike some AR routes this does not suffer from bleaching of the sky.
