Welcome to the InsideRide guide to the Saranac Lake New York Countryside route on Rouvy. Please read on to see details and photographs on the route, route profiles, and our own ride data on this route.

The Saranac Lake New York Countryside route on Rouvy is a rolling amble through the countryside of New York State.

The route sets off from the town of Saranac Lake, with the first part of the ride flat, and taking in the view across Lake Colby from State Highway 86. From Lake Colby the road climbs gently towards Harriestown, a little before which the route turns off onto road 186. The route drops from here, with signs indicating Saranac Lake Regional Airport is to the right. The route plateaus, coming to a close after Lake Clear.

The scenery is dominated by forest, interspersed with occasional views over lakes and the odd rail crossing. That combined with a largely deep blue sky makes for a pleasant ride.

This is not a Rouvy AR route, it is stated to be a HD route, and indeed we streamed in 1080p. While that may be so, the picture is not as crisp as some other 1080p rides we have ridden on Rouvy. The route suffers a little from filming speed exceeding ride speed, though rarely is this noticeable, and also from timing issues in a couple of places. All told though, a very pleasant ride.
