Welcome to the InsideRRR preview of the Scenic Bike Paths along Crystal Springs and San Andreas Lakes course on Kinomap. Please read on to see our thoughts on the route, course profile and images.
The "Scenic Bike Paths along Crystal Springs and San Andreas Lakes" on Kinomap is a North Westerly ride along the San Francisco Peninsula, starting alongside the Crystal Springs Reservoir and continuing the length of the San Andreas Lake via a strange detour towards Millbrae.
Water is never too far from this route, with the scenery dominated by both lakes, with a stretch of scrubland in-between. Indeed one of the highlights of this route is arriving at, and turning onto, the dam of the San Andreas Lake.
The route is largely flat, with almost all of the climb taking place in the section between the two lakes.
The video is recorded by Kinomap contributor thereynes and carries the "Good Quality" stamp from Kinomap on the route page. It is filmed in stabilised HD and for the most part very good - though handlebars are present throughout, and there is a little lag in places which may have been my shaky internet connection.
We hope that you enjoy the ride - let us know what you think in the comments box below.
