Route Description

The Benidorm to Calp course on Kinomap is a beautiful coastal ride from Benidorm to Calpe in Valenciana, Spain..

The route starts at the Eastern extreme of the Benidorm beaches, climbing inland to circumvent the Sierra Gelada hills to the right. Dropping back to the coast, the ride the rolls beachside through L'Albir and Altea. The route then climbs up past the Sierra de Toix alongside the tram, taking in a couple of tunnels and high limestone walls, reaching a high point of around 130m. From here the route drops into Calp, before doglegging back to the beach for a superb finish dominated by the sharp butresses of Calp Rock rising from the Mediterranean.

The scenery is a blend of Spanish tourist and expatriate resorts, steep limestone walls, blue skies and deep blue seas. Keep and eye out for a couple of large chaingangs flying past, as well as the Benidorm Dealz store which is on route.

Other than the odd bit of stitching around traffic lights, the hoods being in view, and the amount of shadow in picture, the video is excellent.
