Route Description

The Namibia Deserts Project - Sunrise in Karas course on Kinomap is a flat ride East through the desert in Namibia, into the rising sun.

This course is takes in a 25km stretch of the C17 road between Keetmanshoop and Koës, edging the Kalahari desert. The view is fairly sililar throughout - sunrise, dirt track, desert to either site, and just a couple of other vehicles on the road along the way.

The video is recorded by Kinomap contributor StevenLeHyaric in FHD, and has been awarded the "Excellent" quality rating by Kinomap. The video is very good, but like any video riding into a sunrise suffers from sun positioning. The low filming position makes the track look fantastic, but also also reduces the view. The timing of the video stutters a couple of times, but in the masin the timing of the video feels very good.
