Photographs from the match at Accrington Stanley last night. The game was fairly evenly matched, but Accrington had the better of the chances, hit the bar twice, and were worthy winners in the end. A great view back to the City of London from Canary Wharf today.

City of London from Canary Wharf

    St Andrew’s Church, Burnley

St Andrews Church sits on the junction of Colne Road and Brierfield Road in Burnley, and is a landmark we walk or drive past every day.

    Queensgate Bowling Club, Burnley.

I often walk past the Queensgate Bowling Club while walking my dogs around Burnley. It stands out as the public bowling greens nearby in Barden Gardens have been ‘converted’ into cricket wickets.

Waiting for the 07:21 train into Leeds from Burnley Manchester Road this morning.

I’d lived in Burnley for almost 5 years before I realised I could actually get a direct train into Leeds.

Discovered this heritage tramway and museum while at Heaton Park for todays half marathon.

Looked great, but felt too rough after the run to explore further.

On the beach at Seascale today. Popped in to see our friends’ house renovation on the way back from collecting a knitting machine in Cockermouth (don’t ask!).

A fleeting visit to Nottingham today - a nice day for the drive, this is taken just below the Woodhead Pass on the drive down to Barnsley.
