I am surprised to say that I was surprised to discovery that Mitsubishi AAA batteries from Poundland are absolutely useless. I took just ten low resolution photos today, and the camera is dead. I will never cheat on Duracell again.
Really didn’t do much today, didn’t intend to. Lay in, and wandered up to Glencoe for brunch at about 1130, and my right knee started to not like being extended! I was beginning to feel like a 1974 Ford Cortina by this point. Got back to the tent, and read the papers for hours. They were tabloids really – I only looked at the pictures.
After I had bored of reading the papers I wandered down to the woods behind the Clachaig Inn. I had a look at An Torr, I don’t know what it is, so if anyone would care to enlighten me. I then wandered up to the signal rock, where the fire was lit to signify the start of the 1692 massacre.
Went back down to the Clachaig for tea, not that there was a pattern emerging by now. Felt much better, so decided to definitely go for Sgor na h-Ulaidh and probably Meall Ligichie on the Friday. River was really high today after another dose of Swansea weather last night! Went out with a full set of waterproofs on this morning – and the sun came out.
