Apparently it was a nice day as forecast today – at ground level. Unfortunately I spent most of my day inside a cloud. I struggled to find the top of the ridge, and was just about to turn around when I found it. I hit the ridge a lot further North than I had intended, but my navigation was generally pretty good today, I was never lost at any point.
Unfortunately I spoilt my first Munro by falling of a small outcrop on descent. I lost the path, and slipped on my hold on the rocks, which I slid off, breaking the fall with my legs on the way. Felt alright at first, and walked away, but my left wrist became very sore, and I developed a huge bruise on my left leg.
It was all the more stupid as it was the last problem of the descent, but that aside it was a very good climb. Although my 6 hours and 45 minutes was outside the guide time of 4-6 hours. To be fair the weather was awful at times. Didn’t think that I would climb again this week.
