This meet was the clubs new year trip, which is essentially a very social meet. A large led walk of about 40 people were led by John Eadon and myself from Llanvihangel-Crucorney across the fields to join the Beacons Wat. Skirting around the West flank of the hill we rejoined the Beacons Way South of Ysgyryd Fawr, and ascended the hill from the South. We enjoyed a rather nice stroll along the ridge which had received a peppering of snow. Summiting the hill we turned back south for about 200m to join the track heading East off the hill, and returned to the Skirrid Inn by the rout we had come in upon, with one notable short cut.
Won’t say too much about certain mutineering led walkers except the following. If you play the game as well as you talk it why are you on a led walk? Furthermore, why don’t you lead one? I think that states my position in no uncertain terms.
