I dont think I need to say too much about this weekend (see also28th January 2006). As the pictures pretty much tell the story.
On the Sunday we walked from Kington up over Hergest Ridge. The route is nice and gentle, so much so that Fred pushed young Katie up in her pushcair to the very summit. The group split here, with most of the party returning back along the ridge into Kington. Myself, Andy Brown, Mike, Guy, Sarah, Richard, and Lord John of Leintwardine proceeded in the general direction of Bradnor Hill.
Whilst the ascent up Bradnor Hill is forestry track for approximately 3/4 of the way, we came to a strecth of felled forest which we made our way through in some discomfort. This being with the exception of the rather weedy characters who skirted around the long way – and no the pink shirt wearing J20 drinker was not one of them!!!!!!
The top of Bradnor Hill is a rather bizarre place, where one treks through a number of holes on the golf course to attain the highest point. The buggy tack affords a quick descent back into Kington.
