I picked up Richard at 8am, having decided on Saturday upon an excursion to Kinder Scout. I have taken it easy for the last two months where possible since injuring my knee, and have concentrated almost exclusively on climbing. With winter nearing I took the decision to jump into my winter boots, hoping that they would not cause the same hamstring problems as last winter, and they did not – touch wood!
We walked up through Upper Booth from the car park at Edale, and ascended below Jacob’s ladder. We proceeded along the plateau over Kinder Low to Kinder Down. We retraced steps to Jacob’s ladder and proceeded to Pym’s Chair, and back down into Edale along Crowden Brook.
The weather was fairly considerate for the time of year, and it was a pretty good day all around, only late in the day did it produce a little precipitation, and that was minimal in quantity.
