Decided that I had to climb something today, and eventually plumped for The Wrekin. Took my Mum and two little sisters along for the ride as well. Essentially the route follows a landrover track gently ascending for a couple of miles to the summit at 407m. Glencoe it ain’t – but you do get fantastic views about 30-40 miles in each direction.
The only point of note today is that I planned the route using the Anquet 1:50000 CD ROM of central England – £10 from Ottakars in Walsall, Saved me a fortune on Maps that you don’t really need in the midlands. Check out the photographs below.
