Age of Empires

I have been playing Age of Empires since the game’s original release back in 1997. I recall being captivated from the animated installer onwards, and have returned regularly since then.

My favourite incarnation was Age of Empires II, though I’m struggling to get that version to work with my preferred MacOS retro gaming stack (Crossover / Wine). As such I’m playing the original game using the UPatch patch to maximise screen usage.

I’m not sure I played any of the campaigns back then, I primarily cleared random maps I seem to recall. Watch along as I work my way through the campaigns in the game, and Rise of Rome expansion.
