I was in Liverpool on a course, staying at the Premier Inn at Aintree, ironically only a few hundred metres from the where I went for my assessment centre prior to getting this job 3 years ago or so.
With little to do in the evenings, and having only put in a solitary 3.6 mile run since the Staveley Stampede, I thought it was time to pick the baton up again.
I planned a route in outline using google maps which involved a triangle running back up to the M58? down towards Bootle, and back to Aintree through Walton. The just over 10km taking 54 minutes, but with some big losses to traffic at the end of the runn, and some faffing with sprint intervals causing some fatigue towards the end.
