In the first of a new collection on my site, I decided to start documenting the various service stations that I visit. Just because.

Roadchef operated Norton Canes services sits on the M6 Toll not too far from Cannock. It seems to be a popular stopping point for football traffic, with Burnley, Fleetwood, Everton and Watford all in this morning.

👨🏼‍💻 After most a year on micro.blog, I’ve just arrived at a method to inject custom content into category pages on my site using if/else in the list template to load in the related partial.

I’m sure there will be a much leaner way, but I’m happy after faffing around trying to do this for months.

I have started using Notion for daily note taking, replacing Obsidian.

I love Odsidian, but for changes in work environment, I would not have been looking for another tool. I’m impressed with Notion so far, it can more than fully replicate my Obsidian setup as I learn functionality.

We’ve switched electricty plans to one with an overnight tariff (~29%) 12am through 7am.

Hadn’t really appreciated how much electricity charging an EV uses v the house. If we organise ourselves properly, even working from home, I think we can transfer most of our electricty use onto that rate.
