Achievement of the weekend was refining my rss feed to show micro posts as titleless posts in the micro. blog timeline. Had it working last night, but fully rebuilt it today as I broke something with my final tweaks last night.

👨🏼💻 After most a year on micro.blog, I’ve just arrived at a method to inject custom content into category pages on my site using if/else in the list template to load in the related partial.
I’m sure there will be a much leaner way, but I’m happy after faffing around trying to do this for months.

Probably the biggest (only?) item on my micro.blog wish list. It works ace on the cross-post, but I really want to simplify, get rid of cross posting, and run my entire workflow through my micro.blog hosted site.

Bootstrapping @jarrod’s shortcuts for producing galleries for the Tiny Theme adaptive gallery, and custom css only, to prepare a more traditional gallery layout, theme independent for use on micro.blog. Result is a bit like glightbox gallery - but retaining the image tags.

Finished migrating my latest videos from Loom over to youtube.
Really like the ease and simplicity of screencasting through Loom - but:
1. Couldn’t justify a standalone subscription just for hosting videos for the volume of traffic they get. 2. Felt limited by ability to edit and markup videos later.

Migrated and redirected my retrogaming project macretro into micro.blog last night. I need to build anchor pages to front-end the content well, and update links from youtube still… but otherwise completes consolidation of my online presence into this single site - hopefully without losing traffic.

I’m going to try a micro.blog only approach to writing.
Though I got micro.blog and mastodon working nicely together with webmentions, I got tired of boosting my own posts. It felt like that complicated simplicity, sought attention, and generated zero conversation anyway. 👨💻
