MicroBlog
Welcome to the Microblog section of my website, here you will find short snippets, linkposts and imageposts in my own little social stream. These posts are syndicated directly to my Mastodon and BlueSky accounts. Filter by topic >>>
At least I no longer need to try to convince Vickie that Egan and Egan-Riley are not one and the same person. Good luck at Hull.

It will take some pre-work, but loading rides into library and playlists will be a more efficient mode of ride and row selection in Kinomap.
This is Important given the vast quantity and quality of content on the platform. Select the bookmark icon from the "browse" section in the app.

The logical way forward following the FulGaz divestment is to try to make the most out of my Kinomap lifetime membership for scenic rides (everything but racing), building ride playlists to bypass the poor ride search UX.
Many of the best ride creators also have their content on Rouvy, but the additional subscription probably does not make sense. Discoverability of non-AR videos is little better on Rouvy also - I have a large favourites playlist there also for the same reason.

Best of Luck Jay Rodriguez, Thanks For The Memories β½οΈπ by Burnley FCWhen I saw this pop up in my feed, I thought Jay had retired. However, he's off for a last? sojourn with Wrexham in League One.

Iβm weighing moving my fediverse presence (but not my website) back to micro.blog rather than running own instance. What I donβt know is if I would still receive like and boost webmentions made on mastodon, though not surfaced on micro.blog

Currently stuck somewhere between knowing that training is great for my mental health, and lacking motivation to train because my resilience has taken a hit. Hoping to reset that over the next week.

I migrated my site to Kirby in March, and have finally finished cleansing posts, building the structure and feeds. I still need to refine some templating, but I can now concentrate on adding content.

I liked Rouvy, but I liked Fulgaz more, so was very upset to see that Ironman has sold Fulgaz to be eaten by Rouvy today.
I've had nothing to do with Wahoo since they spat out RGT, and it is inconceivable right now that I will renew my Rouvy subscription. While I'd still like to race long distance triathlon - it definitely will not be at an iron dot badged event either.
If only Kinomap could sort out their UX - given that I have a lifetime subscription there.

I'm using snippets rather than templates to build custom micro post types, saving time on file renaming later. Here is an example of one of the few link posts in my archive, in the new post type.

I finally managed to display directly link and display related blog articles in my digital garden, much more robust than the workaround using tags yesterday. Read on for my cookbook implementation.

I've come up with a way to link blog and digital garden pages together on my website using a hidden tag field. I would have preferred to reverse the linked page field, but struggled to implement.
I can get on now with building out the remainder of my structure, and tidying up and arranging my content. While for future posts the two sections are semi automatically linked, galleries build directly from uploads, and the new RSS feeds automate posting to the IndieWeb.

I've spent half an hour getting RSS feeds working in my digital garden sections, so that I can share through echofeed. I wasted far too much time on this last weekend, lesson - test for empty fields!

At 44km and 1500m of ascent the Zwift World Series Race is going to take me around 2h30. As I'm heading to Reading on Saturday, and practicing TTT on Sunday, 18:30 tonight is my best chance. Back later!

I've had a magical mystery tour through Kirby blueprints, sections, controllers, collections and templates - but I'm happy with how my digital garden section is growing.
