Vickie woke me up to tell me - had to check I'd not imagined it. Who put the keeper in the bastards' net? Ashley Barnes is back.

Me stood in Burnley wearing claret and blue scarf knitted by @craftedbypanda and Barbour Jacket. Houses to the left, fields to the right with a road running through towards Pendle Hill under light grey sky.

Starting my journey over to Sheffield for Sheffield United v Burnley.

As poor a 45 minute performance as I’ve seen since the trip to Sunderland in August. Let’s hope they remember at least knowing each other in second half.

Here at the Stadium of Light for our game with Sunderland. A very revolutionary line-up, with faces from our academy making the bench.

It’s the first home game of the season here at Turf Moor as we take on Cardiff City. First game since the departures of Odobert and Twine, and the omission of James Trafford from the team is the main surprise - presumably on his way out.

Burnley will play away at Wolves in the Second Round of the northern split of the Carabao Cup draw. I'm quite pleased given that I did not make it to the Molyneux last season, so it gives me another chance to take a few photographs for my website.

If Vincent Kompany is going to leave this summer, to wherever that may be, I hope that he goes quickly so that we can move on from what has been a pretty dreadful season. I don’t see any of the (3x!) rumours being debunked, so I’m sceptical he leads us into next season.
